- There are many different methods of peer review but today we will discuss 4 of the many

Methods
Praise Question Polish:
This consists of 3 parts
· Praise: you say what you thought was good about the paper or essay
· Question: what do you not understand?
· Polish: what specific suggestions do you have for improvement.
“Elbowing procedures”
· Designed by Peter Elbow this method asks questions like...
· I heard..
· i liked....
· i wondered...
· i had a question about....
· i was looking for an example of...
The slice and dice method
· Writer listens to other student read their essay or paper.
· Author takes notes on comment and revisions other students have.
· Writer revises paper or essay.
Interactive peer review
· paper is read by the writer to a group they discuss
· after the paper is discussed they decide unanimously to either accept or reject the paper
· the paper will be rejected if there is revision needed
· the paper will be accepted if there in no revision needed
